OCTOBER 14th • Oregon Convention Center
Lane Hunter {dance} will be performing at the Bravo! Live Showcase for entertainers. We’re excited to bring in dancers from Vancouver’s Columbia Dance who have been working with Lane this summer at their Intensive Program to learn a more psychological way of moving. Allegra Carlson will reprise her role as the ice skating silhouette and sail across the screen without moving an inch. Lane will also be unveiling a new solo which promises to be energetic and mesmerizing.
OCTOBER 24th • Multnomah Athletics Club
Lane will be teaching a Master class at the MAC. He’s going to give them a taste of his quirky, slithery, and percussive style. Let’s see, should he use the Jackson 5, Coldplay, The Andrew Sisters, or The Cure. Probably all of them.
SPRING 2010 • The Beginning Is Near
Lane Hunter {dance} will reprise their first production which the Oregonian listed as one of the Top 10 Must-sees of Winter 2007. Catherine Thomas of the Oregonian said, “Hunter’s sense of the cinematic is refined and vivid,” and “Hunter’s theatrical production values are high. What emerges next from this young company should be exciting to see.” The evening will be a benefit for 5 non-profit organizations and the dance company. If you missed the lauded “Beginning,” this is your chance to catch up and help out some wonderful organizations to boot.
FALL 2010 • Shotgun
Lane was inspired by the streaming landscapes of local artist Kelly Niedig. His engaging troupe of dancers will bring to life her paintings both visually through an expansive interactive set and emotionally as they perform Hunter’s choreography exploring the concept of riding “shotgun” in one’s life or taking the wheel and driving.
