I just got finished teaching a masterclass at The Multnomah Athletic Club, a prominent club here in Portland. The dancers ranged from young teen to adult and we had a great time doing the Gladys Knight and the Pips pliĆ© sequence. If you are gonna have to squat repeatedly it’s nice to have some Pips back you up. Whoo! Whoo! I try to make the exercise fun but not lose sight of it’s purpose. When we got to the creative section of class, I had lots of help from the Harry Nilsson and the attendees. Thanks to Laura Haney for inviting me and thank you to all who attended and helped me share something I love to do on this drizzly Portland afternoon.

I need to come take one of your classes. Is there anything in it for us competitive gals who like to keep score, get all the moves correct, and essentially beat someone at the end? I haven’t “danced” in a gym since doing step aerobics while 7 months pregnant–really not a good for anybody. Miss you and sounds like you had a great time!
